Yet another thing I am fortunate to not have any experience with is being flown for my life in a helicopter; although I have been rushed in a road ambulance. Even then, that experience is one where I do not remember much of what happened. As it should be. Joyriding in an ambulance is an insult to the job that medics do.
I totally respect the medics and nurses who actually do the non-glorious duties that are part of keeping other people alive and well. I could not handle that job myself since I do not have any desire to do that type of work. I will not take those people for granted. Health care administrators and insurance companies, though, they can all just go die and be taken care of by the real deliverers of health.
Furthermore, I have never flown in a helicopter. The opportunity has never presented itself to do so. I think I would take that opportunity if it arose. Maybe I will suffer more pain to the point that I get lifeflighted somewhere. Let's hope not. I want to live to get more free shirts and to write about them. I do this all in case you care.
I acquired this shirt during "Donor Brian's Party of Five". That sure was a fun party sandwiched between two crazy drives. The party was not so crazy that anyone had to go to the hospital over it. I certainly prefer that kind of party over the kind where people get hurt.
