Lake Erie Monster
Physical Description: The front design is like going to a haunted house that is really just your neighbor's place. "Lake Erie Monster" is typed up in a font that I no longer want to think about. The letters are clear, with a drop shadow puke green which are all enclosed by a thin black outline. Above the word "Monster", there is a black BIRD! The bird is flying away from the viewer. Going down we can see a boat. The boat has a puke green flag two sails (one with two horizontal puke green lines on it), two dots that are likely supposed to be people. The boat is in a sea formed by brief mountain strokes of black and dots of puke green. Above the water to the right are two more birds. Inside the water is a floating monster. The monster has three toes on two feet, two knees, and as far as the viewer is able to tell from the angle given, his right hand, chest, face, and part of his left arm above water. The monster is clear except for the shadow and right hand and hair; all of which are puke green. In his right hand, the monster has an aluminum can. The can only has black dots for information on it. The face of the monster is one of complete satisfaction. The eyes are looking upwards to the clear skies. The nose is round. The mouth has four teeth, but is open joyously. The monster has what looks to be a black tattoo of an anchor its left arm. Underneath the water, We can see that the monster is holding onto at least three more cans of whatever it is drinking. Underneath the scene there is some more clarification. "Geneva-on-the-Lake" is small, but in the same style as the earlier "Lake Erie Monster". "OHIO" follows in puke green. Tucked in a corner is yet another bird and "Rant'n Raven" done in black.
The back is a listing of sub-sponsors that I will not go into because of my policy of not going into the sub-sponsors. I must mention that the sponsors are spelled out in a fun font that makes animals out of each letter. These words are also all puke green.
Although he did spend a portion of his life at La-Z-Boy, Donor Mac was once a youngster. His family's favorite vacation spot during that time was Geneva-On-The-Lake. Pretty much, I now have shirts of another man's past which is a nice change from the newest free shirt someone else just got yesterday. Of course, yesterday and today's shirts are appreciated because being born yesterday, I need to cover up my birthday suit.
I have yet to go to Geneva-on-the-Lake, although I have been in Ashtabula County, Ohio, a few times before for family picnics. The picnics were rather boring. Actually, Northeastern Ohio itself is rather boring.
This is the only non-La-Z-Boy affiliated shirt that was donated within "Donor Mac's Recording Breaking 4tune". Not only was I not expecting free shirts that day, but after I heard that I had free shirts I was anticipating all of the free shirts to be La-Z-Boy related. Donor Mac had ammassed a good number of La-Z-Boy shirts outside of the ones that are featured in the free shirt archive. Most of these other shirts were actual daily work shirts that he gave to other employees.
I do not believe in much of anything, much less monsters. Brothers and sisters, life is too short to live in fear.
